Somalia Lab Lead Recieves Special Mention from START Network's Changemaker Awards
Nishant Das, the Somali Response Innovation Lab Lead received a Special Mention in its 2020 Changemakers Awards from the START Network. Nishant was nominated for his early and quick response to COVID-19 in Somalia, where the lab is located. His quick action helped get preventative messaging out across Somalia through a wide range of actors and networks by coordinating with innovators, government, and NGOs on the unbranded messages that could go far and wide.
In July 2020, this same work was replicated in Yemen to support the dissemination of messages across the country in rural and urban areas.
