Call: Seeking Ugandan Innovators for Soap Innovation (closed)
Call for Innovations
During the Covid-19 pandemics, hand-washing is a core preventive measure. However, the use of bar (solid) soap at public handwashing stations faces two major challenges:
Theft
Continuous handling with risks of further disease transmission
In response to these challenges, Engineers Without Borders - USA, in partnership with the Response Innovation Lab Uganda, is launching a call for Innovation on the design of a solid soap dispenser for public handwashing stations.
We are looking for innovative designs made in Uganda from locally available materials. Please see more details in the attachment and share it with your networks.
Winners will be awarded:
1st place: 1,000,000 UGX + production order (of 100-200 soap-dispensers)
2nd place: UGX 500,000
