Establish and operate a field farmers school

It is the first established farming school that provides training in different agricultural fields.

The Problem

Many farmers face significant challenges during the planting season due to a lack of knowledge and expertise in field management, disease control, marketing, and other areas. As well as the excessive use of chemical pesticide.

The Solution

This project includes a group of local experienced agronomists. They provide farmers with all the technical capacity building (learning and on-farm training) needed to support the entire agricultural process (agriculture best practices). The on-farm training allows farmers to learn and experiment with many modern techniques in this field. The project also offers consultation services and promotes the use of bio pesticides.

Where is faas Now

Fa’as is currently expanding to new geographical locations, with contracts made in both Babil Governorate and Samawah Governorate. The team is also expanding their scope of services to include pest control, specifically termite control in coordination with specialized teams. Fa’as is actively seeking to expand to reach more farmers and to promote biopesticides and organic farming in Iraq.
