Nampya farmers market provides movement of agricultural produce through a mobile-based food distribution and logistics platform that connects rural farmers to urban food retailers in a bid to create an efficient, transparent, and formal agri-food marketplace. By providing movement of agricultural produce from the farm gate directly to the doorstep of retail outlets like kiosks, market stalls, hotels, and restaurants, Nampya aims to change the food distribution landscape, enabling rural farmers to market profitably while the urban retailers and consumers access the highest standard of quality produce.
Nampya Farmers Market has so far moved close to 2000 metric tons of fresh produce, sourced from over 1,000 smallholder farmers, and sold to over 310 different food vendors.
