Strengthening community information systems for Psychosocial services in Kampala

A response and referral structure in host communities

Partners: Terre des Hommes Netherlands (TdH-NL), Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development (MoGLSD), African Women and Youth Action for Development (AWYAD)

Goal: A rapid assessment of refugee psychosocial support needs shows that refugees in Kampala, though adversely affected by ongoing mental health and PSS challenges, made worse by COVID-19 restrictions, have very limited access to quality PSS support. The partners intend to create awareness on the services offered by Sauti 116 (helpline) and its access modes and build a strong response and referral structure in urban host communities.
