First “Thoughtcast” In-person Event in Jordan

Together with Majlisna - Civic Jordan, we successfully hosted our first Thoughtcast session in Jordan to discuss what NGOs need from entrepreneurs and what entrepreneurs can offer. We welcomed participants from international and local NGOs, social business, academia, and tech and innovation sectors for fruitful exchanges!

The discussion touched on shared recognition of the issues with the ecosystem in Jordan, such as the varying approaches and expectations of donors, biases in resources accessibility, competitions, insufficient institutional support, etc. Many participants agreed that the exchanges highlighted the gaps in different sectors’ mentality and expectations when it comes to collaborations, and acknowledged the needs of sharing success stories for inspirations and enhancing understanding of different sectors through aligned communications and clarifications in order to foster a more supportive ecosystem.
