The first project in Iraq to cultivate mushrooms using organically recycled compost from plants and animal waste.

The Problem

A shortage of fresh mushroom in the local market

The Solution

This project aims to establish and manage an indoor mushroom farm. They will use farm waste, such as discarded trees and plants, to prepare the organic medium for the mushroom spores (instead of the soil). In addition to that, they will use solar energy to power this farm (Mainly to keep climate suitable for mushroom cultivation).
Golden Mushroom is continuing their work and they have re-branded to the name Al Reef Mushroom.
